if its a sunny day in lao, youll usually see the majority of girls (and sometimes boys) carrying an umbrella. if youre overly tanned there it denotes that you either: cant afford an umbrella/work on the land and/or are poor, which then makes you less attractive in the dating game. it applies more to girls that guys, so you see a lot of girls trying to stay as pale as possible. if only they could see what we do to ourselves in the west!!
we stopped by the local art school to check it out.

there are a ton of hairdressing salons like this all around lao, the only thing that can be different is nice posters on the walls.
this is the first place we stayed, it was called 'Le Bel Air', pretty nice resort. we got our own bungalow which was pretty good and surprisingly cheap. this was our last night there
